Tiba Tempeh
Tiba Tempeh - a great example of an end-to-end design and digitally printed packaging solutionDurham Box recently helped plant-based food brand, Tiba Tempeh, to convey their core values and uniqueness through the creation of new packaging, incorporating a fresh and impactful brand style.
Challenge Following lockdown, Tiba Tempeh took the opportunity to create an online shop. Since the brand’s initial launch in November 2019, Selfridges, Whole Foods, Planet Organic and over 500 Holland & Barrett stores stock the delicious meat substitute and although loyal to these stockists, Tiba Tempeh wanted to ensure their customers can access their goods from the comfort of their own home.
Their products were being shipped in a simple 0201 brown box and solid board sleeve for their packaging - this was neither conducive to developing brand awareness, nor was it providing a connection with their customer base.
Solution The Durham Box design team reviewed Tiba Tempeh’s complete value-chain and produced vibrant, eye-catching artwork, which was then printed on the firm’s industry-leading Nozomi C18000 digital press - Durham Box being the first corrugated packaging manufacturer in the UK to offer single-pass LED inkjet production for packaging, POS displays & corrugated board.
Customer Feedback
The new packaging was well received by the founder of Tiba Tempeh, Alex Longton, who commented: “I am absolutely delighted with the printed boxes, which help add a lot of value to our brand and shopper experience. We were previously using brown boxes and one of our regular customers sent us an email after receiving their order, saying: ‘Just got the order, love the new branded box packaging!’”
